Livelihoods & Crafts
Supported by Women Serve
In the settlements of Kaan Singh ki Sid and Ghantiyali, women carried traditional textile craft skills with no organised path to turn that craft into a livelihood or reach buyers beyond their immediate community.
With Women Serve, UJAS worked with women artisans in these two settlements on skill building and design development for textiles, encouraging the continuation of their traditional craft. The partnership helped connect artisans’ work to international markets, giving a traditional art form a renewed chance to flourish as a source of income and self-sustenance.
