Shelters for the Homeless

The Challenge

Jodhpur’s homeless and destitute residents — people with nowhere else to turn — need more than a roof for a night; they need safety, security, and somewhere to belong.

Our Response

Under the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), funded by Nagar Nigam Jodhpur (the municipal corporation), UJAS runs shelters for the homeless alongside local government bodies, providing a secure place to stay. The initiative has been recognised locally for the role it plays in the city’s safety net for its most vulnerable residents.
